PATRA makes creations of natural art using the
feathers of exotic birds to produce colors and textures simply
unavailable in paintings or photography.
Within
this media Patra's works range widely from tropical sunsets in
bright red, blue, and yellow, to calm centering pieces grounded
with feathers patterned in earth tones. There are floral patterns
that come alive with the natural colors and soft patterns of the
feathers themselves. In others, unruly gardens of fancy spill
out onto the matted frames, and like the artist, are unpredictable
but compelling. Even from the first glance, Patra's art is interesting,
emotive and unique.

Earthy
landscapes, floral and whimsical themes are bold, imaginative and
absolutely one of a kind because they capture that single moment
when the glass comes down over the arrangements of colorful feathers
of exotic birds.
Patra's work has been exhibited at numerous commercial galleries
and also at a one artist show in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Casino.
But the artist's favorite spot to display new art is The Java Connection,
a local coffeehouse in Philomath, Oregon.
